I am currently a senior lecturer within the LAB University of Applied Sciences, Technology Unit, Environmental Technology study programs. I also work as a project manager in two international R&D projects. This means, that my working time is divided about 50% for teaching duties and 50% for the RDI project management.
Since obtaining my first master’s degree, which was from the University of Helsinki, I started to work in industrial companies having active export business. I noticed that I need more competence in business, and I studied MBA in the University of Wales focusing on leadership & management. This was a turn to the entrepreneurship as well. We run with my husband eight year a sustainability consultation company and had clients and form public and private sector.
Because of the family reasons and retirement of my husband I made a swift to the education I have so far worked in two universities (University of Helsinki and Aalto University) and before LAB UAS I worked also in XAMK UAS. I wanted to complete more university studies and graduated in 2019 from the master’s in engineering studies of the LUT University, Industrial Management.
I suppose that three master level study fields, international experience, and wide experience in general, would benefit any actor. In addition to this, I have worked in many different organizations, in private companies, in four higher educational institutions, in city administration, in regional administration, in municipally owned regional development companies and in own business. My only hope is that your core idea is to follow responsibility in your working life and own business if you have entrepreneurial plans.
