I am Rahul and I have been living in Finland since 2014. I moved to Finland to pursue my master’s degree in chemical and process engineering from LUT University and graduated with distinction in 2016. Since then, I have gone on to complete my doctoral degree in chemical engineering from Aalto University, where I became an expert in techno-economic evaluations.

After my doctoral studies, I also gained industrial experience by working as a process development engineer at Neste. I am currently working as a Consultant at Spinverse and helping companies secure EU public funding to solve global challenges in the field of bioeconomy.

As an international living in Finland, I have plenty of advice and experiences to share with students to help them understand the job market in Finland and how they could possibly also get into the field of research and maybe study towards a doctoral degree as well.

In words of John Crosby “Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction."
