Hi! My name is Arina. I was an international student and graduated from LUT with a Master’s Degree in Mechatronic System Design. I wrote my thesis on mobile robots while working at a company in Austria. I didn't know much about the country when I accepted the opportunity, but I was excited for the challenge. I ended up staying with that company for three years, getting to know my new home and exploring the world of industrial automation.

My interest soon shifted to safety engineering, and for the last three years, I've been working in this field, helping to ensure norms and regulations are met and prevent the creation of "killer robots". I've found it’s a job you have to be a bit of an "oddball" to enjoy as many people find it boring.

Finding your own path takes a lot of courage and experimentation, and it takes even more courage to stick with it. As a woman in a male-dominated field, I've often felt a little out of place, whether in my classes or at professional events. However, I've learned that what you bring to the table - both your work and your identity - is what truly matters.

I want to support you in finding what you want to do while staying true to who you are. Maybe you know your path and just need some help navigating it, or perhaps you're still exploring, and we can figure it out together. My goal is to help you find your professional stride and feel confident in your journey.
