Hi there! I’m excited to share my story and hope it inspires you as you prepare to begin your journey in Finland. After completing my master’s and few years of research at LUT, I decided to give back by joining the mentoring programme to support international students just like you—students who are eager to explore new academic and cultural horizons!
I work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Turku (UTU), I focus on digital design and manufacturing. Before joining UTU, I was a post-doctoral researcher at LUT. My academic path includes a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UNSW, Australia, and a bachelor’s degree from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Tehran. Along the way, I gained practical experience during an internship in Germany, where I honed my adaptability and cross-cultural problem-solving in a dynamic engineering environment.
Having studied in Iran, Australia, and Finland, I understand the excitement—and the inevitable challenges—that come with navigating different educational systems and cultures. If you're looking for someone who's been through transitions and is eager to support and share resources, encouragement, and friendship, I’d be delighted to hear from you and walk with you on your journey here. Let’s keep in touch!
