I’m Antu, and I crash-landed in Finland back in 2017 straight from Bangladesh, with one goal: to survive a master’s in mechanical engineering at LUT. At the time, I had zero clue about this country. Honestly, it felt like buying a mystery box online—you don’t know if you’re getting a diamond or a potato. Turns out, I have a life-changing adventure (with a side of frostbite).

Fast forward a couple of years of studying, freezing, and surviving on student food, I finally scored my first job in 2020. Since then, I’ve been bouncing around industries like Automotive and Mining, learning new things and pretending I understand Finnish small talk (still a work in progress). Somehow, it’s been 8 years already in this snowy wonderland… time flies when you’re slipping on ice half the year.

I live in Espoo, but I’m always on the move—traveling, exploring, or hunting for good food. I’m into tennis, badminton, padel, and volleyball… basically, if it involves hitting something with a racket, count me in. Every year I force myself to pick up a new skill—this year it was sailing. My life motto? Take the leap, make the mistake, laugh about it later. It is better to regret eating too much pizza than regret never ordering it.

For me, mentoring is about being that friend who says: “Don’t worry, you’ve got this—and here’s a shortcut so you don’t have to learn it the hard way like I did.” Life can be tough, but it can also be exciting, and I’d love to share not only the tips and tricks but also the laughs along the way.

And let’s be honest—sometimes you just need someone to remind you that yes, you can survive being an adult… preferably with hot chocolate in one hand and a support system in the other.
