I am a postdoctoral researcher in Applied Mathematics at LUT University, where I also completed my PhD in 2022. My research focuses on mathematical modeling of complex systems in biology, ecology, and public health, including projects on infectious diseases, fish migration, and ecological dynamics. Alongside research, I have over six years of experience teaching and mentoring students in areas such as differential equations, scientific computing, data analysis, modelling, and optimization.
I am interested in mentoring because I know from my own journey how valuable guidance and support can be during studies, especially when making choices about research directions, career paths, and adapting to new academic environments. I enjoy helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and connect their learning to real-world challenges. On the other hand, I see mentoring as a two-way learning journey. My mentees’ questions and perspectives often challenge me to think in new ways, and this helps me grow and reflect on my own career as well.
I hope my mentee will be motivated to explore ideas, ask questions freely, and see mentoring as a space for growth, both professionally and personally. Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies and spending quality time with my family, which helps me stay balanced.
