I’m an energetic and results-oriented product development professional. I carried out my studies in Lappeenranta Technical University, graduating from the department of Energy engineering in 1987. My major was thermal and fluid dynamics, second major energy economics. I did my master’s thesis project for the city of Oulu/Energy department. I have been lucky to have had a diverse working career.
I have been working for engineering agencies with industrial HVAC systems, building automation and power plant projects, also as a specialist in cooling technology, in various R&D leadership positions ranging from telecommunications into power electronics and digital locking systems. Most of my career, I have worked in R&D leadership roles in Finland, China and the USA.
I’m always eager to and provenly also being able to adapt to new technologies and industries, and my passion has been to develop world class R&D teams and competencies and lead project activities and portfolios. Now I work as a global R&D manager for business line Renewable Power at ABB, having responsibilities for converters for wind turbines and hydrogen production.
