I have a degree in Electrical Engineering from Lappeenranta. My major was electricity market and minor industrial engineering. In my master’s thesis I focused on feasibility of self-produced electricity in the forest industry. My studies have been a good foundation for my career in the real estate industry, where energy efficiency requirements and an understanding of the energy transition have been an important part of the profitability of the real estate industry.
Over the years, I’ve built a diverse professional path. Early in my career, I held supervisory roles in both the forest and electronics industries. Since 2007, I’ve worked extensively in the real estate field, focusing on energy efficiency, property management, investment, and maintenance. I bring a well-rounded view, having worked as a service provider, service buyer, client, and owner side. Leadership has been a consistent theme throughout my career, and I also have broad experience in recruitment and organizational development.
I’m applying to the mentoring programme because my career path is unconventional for someone with an electrical engineering background. I believe it would be beneficial if your studies consisted of a variety of studies. And I’m eager to share my insights with students who are exploring diverse academic paths. At the same time, I’m eager to learn more about today’s study environments and evolving career expectations. As the job market continues to change and attract younger talent, I see mentoring as a meaningful way to both contribute and develop.
