I have a background in finance and actuarial mathematics and hold a doctorate in applied mathematics. A big chunk of my professional career covers work in academia (researcher, lecturer, and Head of Degree Programme in Computational Engineering). Over the years, I’ve also worked in different industries and roles – from banking, through being an analyst consultant in the energy sector, to my current position as Head of Analytics at HSL, where I lead a team working on traffic, customer, and pricing analytics. You could say I’ve done the full tour from formulas to fares.

My career path has always been driven by curiosity, problem-solving, and the desire to transform businesses by turning data into insights that make a real difference. I wanted to become a mentor because I believe strongly in sharing experiences and supporting others on their journeys. Having had great mentors myself, I know how valuable guidance and encouragement can be – especially when facing big decisions or challenges. From my mentee, I hope for openness, curiosity, and maybe even the occasional tough question that makes us both think. For me, mentoring is not just about giving advice, but about learning together – and hopefully enjoying the ride.

Outside of work and family, you’ll most likely find me in the CrossFit community, where I swap dashboards for deadlifts. It keeps me active, challenges me to push limits, and brings the same team spirit and perseverance I value in my professional life. I’m looking forward to connecting, sharing experiences, and hopefully helping my mentee grow with confidence (with a dash of good humor along the way).
