I’m a marketing executive living in New York City, and I’d love to mentor a student with either international or entrepreneurial ambitions.
My professional expertise lies at the intersection of media, marketing and technology. I started in SaaS sales, quickly realized I had entrepreneurial tendencies, and ended up starting and running a big tech startup event, Slush Singapore (yes, the Slush). After 8 years in Singapore, I took the biggest risk of my life and moved to New York where I built a venture-backed podcast advertising startup Zvook. I later got acquihired by a competitor to lead their marketing, a position I left earlier this year to take the role of Marketing Director for North America at a French ad tech company Locala.
I have built my career across three continents (Europe, Asia, North America), started two ventures, raised VC funding, and secured executive positions in foreign markets. I have moved countries, applied for visas, and built new social circles all while juggling the demands of a professional career.
I’m excited to support my mentee in navigating their own path towards a fulfilling career and life, especially if their ambition is either in an international setting or in the startup world, as those environments are the most familiar to me.
In my free time I’m a big foodie and love a glass of champagne but balance it out with lots of sports, such as running and gym. I love calling New York home but travel back to Europe regularly. I’ve been a mentor for LUT Mentoring Program before and really enjoyed the experience! Happy to chat in English or Finnish.
